    Jim has been a resident of Roselle since 2013, where he resides with his wife and two children.  His two children currently attend Roselle Middle School.
     
    After obtaining a Bachelor's degree from Indiana University in Finance and Accounting, Jim went on to obtain his Master's degree from DePaul University in Marketing. Jim is a Finance professional with over 25 years of experience in the Consumer Goods Industry, achieving increasing levels of responsibility at both Kraft Foods and now Ingredion Incorporated. Currently, he holds the role of North America Finance Director at Ingredion, a global ingredients solutions company.  Within the Roselle community, Jim has been active in coaching both girls' youth basketball and softball teams for several years. 
     
    Prior to being elected Board President for the 2022-2023 term, Jim served as Board Vice-President and is a member of the Finance Committee.  His interests in serving on the board are aligned with the D12 vision of creating a safe space where all students can prepare for limitless opportunities and where all decisions are made based on the needs of students.

      Dr. Kimberly Duris has been a resident of Roselle since 2004, where she resides with her husband and three children.  She has two children at Spring Hills
      Elementary and a preschooler at home.
     
    Dr. Kimberly Duris is an associate professor in the Department of Psychology at Lewis University, Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. She is also a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) and certified alcohol and drug abuse counselor (CADC) and uses her clinical experience to serve local community mental health agencies.  She has worked in the field of counseling since 2000.  Her educational background includes a bachelor's degree in psychology and criminal social justice (2000), a Master's of Arts degree in counseling psychology (2003), and a Doctorate of Education (Ed.D.) in counselor education and supervision (2015).  The nearly two decades of experience in mental health counseling, focusing on children and adolescents have provided her with a wealth of knowledge regarding child development.
     
    Kimberly Duris was appointed to the school board in May 2019 and currently serves on the boards' policy committee.  Her interest in serving on the board is connected to her goal for all kids to receive a high level of educational, social-emotional, and extracurricular experiences that will serve as the springboard for their adult lives.
     
    Timothy Layer

    Tim Layer has been on the Roselle District 12 School Board and served as Secretary for one year.  He attended Grand Valley State University for Sports Management and Hospitality.  He is currently attending National Louis University studying for his Master's in Elementary Education.  He is working in technology at a local school, mascot assistant for the Windy City Chicago Bulls, DJ, and swim coach at Lake Park High School.

    Tim has been a resident of Roselle for 28 years and attended District K-8. he is involved in the community in local events, schools, collaboration with community members, and works as the head coach of the Roselle Racers Swim Team.

    Tim, with all of the other Board Members, hopes to add his experiences in various fields to help shape District 12's bright future! He is honored and looks forward to being a part of another successful year and gathering input from community members to make a positive impact in our schools.

      
    Blythe Cammy

    Blythe was first elected to the Board in 2013. She was re-elected in 2017 and has served as Secretary, Vice-President, and two terms as President. Her strong belief in public education and her desire to give back to the community has motivated her service. She will always be grateful for the educational foundation her two daughters received in D12.
    Blythe earned her Bachelor's in Business Administration and Associate Degree in Paralegal Sciences. She has worked in large and small companies, both public and private.  Her biggest challenge may have been starting up two different companies. Having the good fortune to travel the world for business and pleasure has been a major influence in her life. She volunteers with the Lake Park Marching Band and is also an adult literacy tutor. 
     

     Chris Humbert, Board Member

      Chris and his family have been in Roselle, and District 12 residents since 1994.  He joined our District 12 Board of Education in 2020.
     
      Chris earned a BA in Marketing/MIS from Governors State University and then an MBA in Marketing/Management from DePaul University.
     
      Chris has been the President of Shepard Medical Products since 2010.  Previously, Chris served as Chicago GM/Regional Director for Larson-Juhl
      (2002-2009) and Equity Director/GM for Hometown Distributing Co., Inc. (1990-2001).
     
      Chris serves in several organizations, including Statesville NRC (New Life Corrections Ministry).
     

    Amy Magnus Amy Magnus, Board Member

     Amy Magnus has been a resident of Roselle since 2012 where she resides with her husband and three children. Amy has one child at   Spring Hills Elementary, one child at Roselle Middle School and one child at Lake Park High School. 
     
      Amy is a former Early Childhood Director that stepped down from her position of over 10 years to be more available to her family  and more involved in their activities. Amy has served the District as a Lunch Supervisor, a parent volunteer and currently volunteers for Flags of Roselle. Her appointment to the Board is a natural next step in her interest in becoming more involved in the District 12 community. 
     
    Amy holds a Bachelor's Degree in Family and Consumer Sciences with an emphasis in Child Development and has over 20 years of experience in working with children and families. Her interest in serving on the Board comes from her belief that all children deserve quality education through all their learning years.
     

    Steve Zurek

    Steve Zurek has been a resident of Roselle since 2007 and resides here with his wife Sue and their dog Hazel.  They have two kids in the district, one at Spring Hills and one at Roselle Middle School.
     
    Mr. Zurek is the owner of OakLeaf Consulting LLC and is a leadership coach with more than 30 years of sales and analytical experience in the consumer packaged goods OTC pharmaceutical and food manufacturing industry. He holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Marketing from North Central College and a Master's of Business Administration from Roosevelt University.
     
    Mr. Zurek was one of the principal leaders of the successful campaign to pass the 2016 operating referendum which inspired him to run for and be elected to the board in 2017. Prior to being elected board president for the 2020-2021 term, he was board vice-president and is a member of the finance committee.  His interests in serving on the board are grounded in curriculum development, high-quality instruction, and ensuring an environment that gives students a progressive education experience so they can thrive in life.
