District 12's Science curriculum is aligned to the Illinois Next Generation Science Standards. You can learn more about each grade level's state standards at https://www.nextgenscience.org/
We use STEMScopes (K-5) and Amplify (6-8) as our core resources for Science instruction. Our teachers have access to supplemental resources such as BrainPop, Discovery Education, and Reading A-Z/RAZ to help support our Science curriculum. Science instruction is designed to be hands-on while exploring a phenomenon. Students in Science classes incorporate several reading, writing, and math skills in our Science classrooms.
